I can't believe Daniel's already a year old! He's getting to be so much fun. This little guy makes us laugh so much. He just learned to crawl at a little over 11 months, which isn't surprising since before that he was only interested in food. Now that he can crawl he's so much happier. Haha I'm already looking forward to more talking and walking so he's happier that way too. At one he doesn't have any real specific words yet that are obvious, but boys tend to take a bit longer so no surprise there. He still loves to eat and somehow knows when you're eating something even if he's in another room. There have been times where he'll be playing in his bedroom and by the time I've poured myself some cereal he's already booked it in there so he can have some. It's like he's got this sixth sense when it comes to food. He's just like his dad in that respect and drinks. Give him a cup and he'll guzzle for a good five minutes sometimes. He was off the bottle this week at the cabin, so right about one. With his drink obsession he could get so much more out of a sippy cup that he's never looked back to bottles. We'll see come Fall Break if he reacts the same way when his pacifier's gone. :) He was standing on his own at this point, with no interest in walking. Sleep-wise he's doing pretty good. He's sleeping at night from about 8-7 then takes two naps, one at 9 and one at 2. He definitely likes being at home and having his own routine. Without it he can have some pretty rough nights, but overall he's been pretty good. Size-wise he grew really fast the first few months, but has definitely slowed down. He's just barely bigger than Lizzie was at this point: 18.5 lbs in the 3rd percentile and 26.5 in the 0 percentile. Basically he's our short cute little chub!
Enjoying a slice of his birthday cake.At the cabin I think right after we sang, just before we cut into the cake.
This was his present, a new sippy cup! The funny thing is he hates this one and always uses the other ones. That's why you don't spend a bunch of money on 'em, right? :) Really he'd be happy with a box or ball.
The cake I made for my final in cake decorating. It doesn't look nearly as good after traveling, being slightly smushed, and photographed by my camera. Spence's camera would have been much better. It was so yummy! Everyone was asking for more. It had a cream cheese/pudding mixture in between each layer of yellow cake with a chocolate frosting.
