Lizzie's imagination
Can I just say I love Lizzie's imagination! I don't know why I haven't written this before, but she seriously cracks me up every day. About two months ago I started noticing her make things up like "It's snowing in our house. Run away!" We'd then spend an hour running from room to room checking on where the snow hit. The last month she's moved on to a tiger. Apparently the tiger's going to get her so again she has to run away. My favorite time with this was with my sister Lisa. Lizzie dropped a ball down the stairs and wanted Lisa to get it for her. When Lisa refused because Lizzie's old enough to get it herself, she told Lisa she couldn't because of the tiger. So Lisa ended up playing along and going with Lizzie to dodge the tiger, grab the ball, and run back up. On our drive down to Blanding Lizzie first found a "friendly spider" on her drink so we weren't allowed to pretend kill it. Then her shoes started attacking her. This one really made me laugh. I noticed her kicking her legs really weird saying things like "get away!" and "oh no they'll get you!" When I asked her she said her shoes were getting her legs and eating them. And of course the tiger made an appearance when we went in to the bathroom at the gas station. He was using one of the other stalls. Today she played catch with Buzz Lightyear downstairs. Apparently he doesn't catch very well because she'd toss it to him and say "Oh almost". When it bounced to the corner she said "That's ok I'll get it". Seriously she's so imaginative I'd worry if she was like this all day long, but she's not. She especially loves acting out her two favorite movies (Toy Story and Train Your Dragon) and quoting them. Every time she spins it's "I'm Jessie dancing". When she runs it's "I'm Toothless, watch out!" The only crappy thing is when we play with her we get relegated to supporting roles. Yesterday she got to be Woody, Daniel was Buzz, and who did we get? Spence got Jessie. Let me tell you he was thrilled! And I was Bullseye. Come on, a horse! Really?! Just kidding we still love playing in her imaginative roles even if we have to switch genders or become animals. :) On a side note, we've learned to use this to our advantage. Tonight when Lizzie wouldn't come to her bed for scriptures Spence said, "Oh no, it's snowing! The bed is the only safe place!" She giggled and ran to the bad as fast as she could. Go Spence!

Cute!!! It is so fun to see their little personalities emerging, I am sure she will be a little reader just like her parents and get carried away into far off places!
