Turkey Day

So most people would think I'm referring to Thanksgiving, but for Spence and I turkey day is whatever day we make a turkey.  It all started when we were just the best of friends.  We both wanted turkey and since it wasn't near Thanksgiving we decided to declare it turkey day!  Now whenever we decide to do a turkey we celebrate it.   There are two specifics to this celebration.  One is that friends or family must be invited.  After all we can't eat a whole turkey.  Plus turkey is delicious and we must share the wealth. :) Second the turkey dinner is followed up with super fun activities, usually we channel our inner child for these.  Saturday was another Turkey Day.  This was definitely one of our top ones.  Spence invited his friends Jamison and Skyler and their wives Jess and McKenzie.  They brought awesome mashed potatoes and a raspberry fluffy salad which Lizzie called "the pink food".  She kept asking for more of it.  It was so much fun to laugh and talk with friends during dinner.  I already knew Jamison, Jess, and Skyler, but it was good to get to know McKenzie a bit better.  After laughing about past film shoots and discussing lighting and the next films we finally had the kids in bed.  This is when the Nerf guns came out.  Spence collects Nerf guns as you might have guessed from past blogs of obstacle courses with Lizzie.  We brought most of them up and had a blast shooting each other, especially with the bazooka.  Skyler and Jamison did ninja training, which is Spencer shooting every kind of gun at you from across the room and you try to catch the darts, or at least dodge if you can't catch.  We now have darts all over our upstairs, but that's pretty normal for us.  We gave feedback to Jamison on his latest reel he's going to submit for a job, followed by watching some funny youtube videos.  At the end of the night we played Risk 2210 which was awesome.  Now I might be saying that because I owned everything!  Sadly for the boys, they lost quickly.  Jess and I just kept marching on them and winning every time.  Jess owned the whole southern hemisphere while I took Asia and North America.  I never win Risk in any kind of version so this was awesome!  Unfortunately for Jess a couple of well place nukes and scatter bombs killed her off enough that I won the game.  We all had so much fun that we decided our next triple date will be laser tag!  Like I said, when you get this group together we definitely channel our inner child!
